Bailey’s multiradiata -Desert Marigold is part of the Asteraceae family. She is a flower who loves the sun and is beautifully thriving with all the rains the Sonoran Desert has been receiving this Summer. She is breathtaking with the butter-Golden color of the blossoms. According to wildflower.org, Marigold’s name is derived from “Mary’s Gold,” in honor of the Virgin. Go explore the desert and remember to take a picture , not a flower. Nature needs to be preserved and honored for future generations. Take some time out of the hectic day and listen to Nature with the video below, featuring Desert Marigold. Enjoy!
